Press Statement

It has become necessary to make the following statement in view of the stories that appeared in some news reports today about the appeal for the annulment of the “Amendments to the Ministry of National Education Basic Law and other amendments in some laws and the laws with the power of law” that is currently being taken up by the Constitutional Court.

A group has been involved in illegal activities while pretending to act legally by trying to create an economic and social  power base for themselves over our children and their innocence by using preparatory schools as a tool. Our public has observed very closely how the extensions of this group in the daily press, in the   TV stations and in the social media have spread systematic distortions, lies and slanders to defame from the day in November 2013 when it was announced the preparatory schools would be converted into proper high schools.

It is seen today that this group which acts illegally under the cloak of legality is using its extensions in the media to spread distortion and lies and creating disinformation about the case being heard at the Constitutional Court.

Within this framework all the statements supposedly made by our Minister and our Undersecretary on this issue and published in this media of lies is completely fabricated.

The court hearings on this case are in progress at the Constitutional Court. It is clear that the reports have come out from the supporters of this group within the court and have been processed at a center and fed to the newspapers and TV stations affiliated to the group. The aim of  the false news reports are obvious.

We respectfully bring this to the  attention of the public.
