MINISTER TEKİN COMMEMORATES THE JULY 15 MARTYRS AT THEIR GRAVES

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin visited the graves of July 15 martyrs in Karşıyaka Cemetery, including teacher Yusuf Elitaş, who were martyred in the struggle against the treacherous coup attempt, on the occasion of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day of Türkiye.

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin visited the July 15 Martyrs at the ceremony held at the 15 July Martyrs' Cemetery in Karşıyaka.  The Quran was read and prayers were said at the ceremony. Minister Tekin left carnations on the graves of the martyrs.
 
Making a speech at the ceremony, Minister Tekin emphasized that they came together to commemorate the resistance of the noble Turkish nation on July 15 and to pass it on to future generations. Minister Tekin said: "May God never let us experience such days again." Underlining that they are fighting for liberation against a structure that wants to make Türkiye a colony of global capital and international powers, Tekin stated that with the help of Allah, they got through that process together.
 
Tekin stated that as the Ministry of National Education, they wish to raise a generation that will protect the unity, solidarity, independence, traditions and customs of the country and defend these values of the nation at the cost of their lives in case of need.
 
Emphasizing that they will never give a passage to such structures, Tekin once again commemorated all martyrs. He expressed his gratitude to the veterans and all the citizens who fought for the country.
 
Deputy Ministers Celile Eren Ökten, Nazif Yılmaz and Kemal Şamlıoğlu, Director General of the Personnel Bülent Çiftçi, Director General for Religious Education Mehmet Nezir Gül, Director General for Teacher Training and Development Cevdet Vural also attended the commemoration ceremony.
